Chef/café all-rounder

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe All-rounder to join our vibrant team. Hours will be around 30pw with the opportunity for more hours during busy periods. 5 days from 7 and weekend availability a must. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a keen interest in food preparation and production. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items, ensuring quality and freshness.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to food safety regulations.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and serving food and beverages.
• Support the kitchen team with various tasks, including cooking, food production, and inventory management.
• Collaborate with colleagues to create a welcoming atmosphere for all guests.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Assist with training new staff members in hospitality practices and kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant/cafe environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is desirable.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented setting.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.

Pay: £10.85-£13.00 per hour
