Chef/Cook

we are looking for an enthusiastic and fully qualified chef to assist in running our busy restaurant kitchen. Junipers on the Marina offers a tapas style dine in experience with stunning views and overlooks the ocean and Sammys is a seafood restaurant. Both offers high-quality modern cuisine with an emphasis on fabulous, fresh food in South Australia. It is an award-winning restaurant that often caters for a variety of events including wedding and corporate functions.

Responsibilities:

• Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
• Cook food in a timely manner
• Delegate tasks to the kitchen staff.
• Slightly modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy).
• Experiment with recipes and suggest new ingredients.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
• creativity and presentation.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook
• Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers, fryers, hot plate)
• Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques.
• Leadership skills
• Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks.
• Excellent time management abilities.
• Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $65,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
