Job Title: Second Chef / Cook

​Location: Earls Colne

Position Type: Full-time (Wednesday to Sunday, Split Shifts)

​We are seeking an enthusiastic, dependable Second Chef / Cook to join our team, cooking a blend of authentic Spanish tapas and artisan pizzas in our large wood fired oven. This is a reopening of a pub/restaurant and we want to get started with the right team.

​Key Responsibilities

• ​Prep and cook fresh Spanish tapas dishes and manage pizza production during service
• ​Support the Head Chef with daily kitchen management, hygiene standards, and stock control
• ​Maintain food safety, hygiene regulations, and allergen compliance
• ​Work cleanly and efficiently on high-volume split shifts (Wednesday–Sunday)

​Requirements

• ​Previous experience cooking in a commercial kitchen (tapas or pizza experience preferred, but not strictly required for the right candidate)
• ​Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform under pressure
• ​Food Hygiene Certification (Level 2 preferred)
• ​Flexibility to work split shifts across evenings and weekends
