About the role

The Captain's Daughter is seeking an experienced Chef/Cook to join our team at our relaxed beach side restaurant/bar in Peregian Beach, Queensland. This is a casual position, offering flexible hours and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and customer-focused environment.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to our high standards
• Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and consistent meal preparation
• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
• Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
• Assisting with menu development and recipe testing as required

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Chef/Cook in a hospitality or catering environment
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and food safety
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes
• Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work a variety of shifts
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
