Chef/Kitchen Hand

We are a busy cafe located in Lancove. We are looking for a qualified chef to join our dynamic team.

Your duties and responsibilities will be the following:

• Plan menu.
• prepare and cook food as per the menu
• Ensure all foods are of excellent quality.
• stock take and placing orders to replenish stocks.
• regularly check and inspect inventory levels
• estimate food and labour costs
• Enforce safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen
• Assist in hiring new kitchen staff and training as required

Desired skills and qualifications:

• Minimum Certificate IV in related field
• At least one year of experience in a commercial kitchen
• Strong communication skills
• Genuine passion for food
• ability to work under pressure and unsupervised.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $74,000.00 – $78,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Lane Cove West NSW 2066: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Kitchen: 1 year (Preferred)

Work Authorisation:

• Australia (Required)
