Ally Labs provides formulation, manufacturing, filling, packaging, and scalable production support across personal care, non-color cosmetics, household, pet care, and select specialty product categories.

We are a growing company with various positions and opportunities for advancement.

Full-Time – On Site Position

Starting pay is $16.00-$21.00 per hour, DOE.

Benefits include employee medical, retirement plan, vacation, sick time and holiday pay.

Responsibilities:

  • Compound pre-weighed raw material batches using designated processing tanks and supporting equipment in accordance with established processing and set-up instructions.
  • Manage raw material from staging to inclusion in the batch being compounded/produced.
  • Set up processing equipment and operate per provided instructions following safe and efficient methodologies.
  • Document all production on batch records to include, but not limited to, raw materials used, quantities, lot numbers, temperatures, and time intervals.
  • Coordinate with laboratory staff to verify specifications and ensure all batch adjustments are properly executed and documented.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Recognize and identify non-operative or out of specification conditions for all equipment.
  • Work with quality on root cause analysis as well as continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Understand production schedule to anticipate requirements and prioritize work.

Qualities Required:

  • Attention to detail: This is a key aspect of the work at Ally Labs. It is especially critical that the Chemical Compounder model this expectation. The ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions is critical to success in this role. Success in this role requires strict adherence to processing instructions to ensure product quality, workplace safety, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction.
  • Solid Understanding of Math: The ability to understand and perform basic math consistently is paramount to the Chemical Compounder position. Understanding ratios, percentages, weight calculations, weight adjustments, and product specifications is a daily requirement of this role.
  • Good Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills are critical to success in this role. The Chemical Compounder must effectively communicate with colleagues and be able to accurately receive, understand, and follow instructions, requirements, and feedback from team members across all departments to ensure safe, efficient, and quality production operations.
  • Embrace Change: Change will always be a part of the contract manufacturing experience. As much as we attempt to plan our production schedules, customer requirements, inventory availability, or equipment readiness can result in schedule changes. A positive attitude is the expectation in the face of changes.
  • A Continuous Improvement (C.I.) Mindset: Ally Labs is always looking for ways to improve how we manufacture and meet (minimally) or exceed (ideally) our customer expectations. The ideal candidate will embrace a C.I. mindset and bring suggestions forward on how we can improve our processes.

  • Prior experience handling chemicals is preferred.
  • Knowledge of compounding and an understanding of special formula instructions is preferred.
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
