What they need
Chemical Compounder – Industrial Manufacturing
Woodstock, GA | Direct Hire | $23–$28/hour + Overtime
We are recruiting for an experienced Chemical Compounder to join an established chemical and aerosol manufacturing operation in Woodstock, GA.
This is a hands-on production role for someone who enjoys working directly with raw materials, chemical batches, production equipment, and a close-knit manufacturing team. The right person will bring relevant manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and—just as importantly—a willingness to learn and follow the company's established processes.
This is not a clean-room or climate-controlled production environment. Employees work around industrial chemicals, adhesives, glues, fumes, and materials that can be messy or sticky. Depending on the batch, full respiratory PPE and other protective equipment may be required.
What You'll Do
- Mix, blend, and compound raw materials according to established batch sheets and formulas
- Measure and weigh ingredients accurately and add materials in the required sequence
- Pull and stage raw materials for production
- Operate forklifts and chemical compounding/production equipment
- Monitor batches and equipment throughout the production process
- Maintain accurate batch, material, and inventory documentation
- Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and escalate larger mechanical issues when necessary
- Follow SDS, PPE, respiratory-protection, environmental, and plant-safety procedures
- Clean equipment and production areas between or after batches
- Work alongside other compounders and production employees to keep operations moving efficiently
- Share responsibility for material handling, staging, mixing, cleaning, and other physically demanding production duties
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of manufacturing experience , preferably involving chemical mixing, blending, batching, compounding, or industrial process operations
- Experience following batch sheets, formulas, production instructions, or detailed manufacturing procedures
- Experience measuring/weighing raw materials
- Forklift experience required
- Comfortable working around industrial chemicals and hazardous materials
- Comfortable wearing required PPE, including respiratory protection when necessary
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to handle basic production-equipment issues
- Ability to safely handle materials weighing approximately 60–80 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation
- Reliable transportation and ability to consistently report for an early-morning shift
- Strong attendance and punctuality
- Team-oriented attitude and willingness to share hands-on responsibilities
- Ability to accept training and follow established procedures, even when they differ from processes used at a previous employer
Schedule
First Shift: approximately 6:00 AM–5:30 PM, Monday–Thursday
Regular Friday overtime is currently expected based on production demand. Occasional Saturday work may also be required.
Candidates should be comfortable with overtime before applying .
Compensation
$23.00–$27.00 per hour , depending on directly relevant experience, plus overtime opportunities.
The Person Who Will Do Well Here
This is where I would intentionally incorporate what CyCan has taught us through the interviews:
You don't need to come in knowing everything on day one.
We're looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, safety-conscious, team-oriented, and willing to learn . Someone who takes pride in being on time, follows established procedures, helps teammates when work needs to get done, and wants an opportunity where they can continue developing their manufacturing skills.
Candidates with experience in chemical manufacturing, industrial chemicals, adhesives, coatings, sealants, resins, cleaning products, chemical blending, or similar process-manufacturing environments are strongly encouraged to apply.
Other offers great for you!
