Chemical Operator

Borden & Remington chemical distribution division was founded in 1837 to supply chemicals to manufacturing facilities. In the long history of Borden & Remington, the focus has always been on satisfying the needs of our customers.

Due to an increase in business, we have multiple openings at our facility in Fall River, MA. We are hiring more personnel to focus on safer work practices and the reduction of potential hazards in the workplace.

The job consists of the following requirements:

• Follow established product identification and traceability procedures.
• Load, unload, and handle materials as assigned in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain product quality through final testing.
• Monitor flow instruments, visually observe rail cars, and storage tanks.
• Monitor recording instruments, flow meters, panel lights, or other indicators to verify conformity of process conditions.
• Notify maintenance to correct equipment malfunctions.
• Operate forklift for movement of chemicals to and from our warehouse.
• Perform work in accordance with all documented work instructions, standard operating procedures, and health and safety guidelines.
• Prepare hazardous materials for transportation; as assigned in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Regulate or shut down equipment during emergency situations, as directed by S.O.P.
• Review certificates of analysis indicating product specification and typical properties for incoming inspection.
• Understand how to properly use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
• Understands Facility security structure and expectations.

This is a full time position with a generous benefit package including, health, dental, life, 401k, vacation, etc. This is a first shift position located at our facility in Fall River, MA.
