Job Summary Primary Function

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Include all essential job functions
• This section should include the primary day-to-day responsibilities & activities of the position. These should represent the “core” of the job duties.
• To conduct test programs on consumer products and prepare the associated documentation, including collecting and reviewing data and writing reports.
• Assumes responsibility for the completion of assigned projects within negotiated time and cost schedules.
• Works under general supervision.
• Reviews programs and identifies further needs to the customer.
• Communicates with customers and other stakeholders as needed.
• Researches standards and equipment. Designs and may build test set ups and equipment.

Experience

• List the minimum amount of education and/or experience required to perform the job. Be specific in terms of the type of experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• At least 0-3 years of experience in a laboratory or research and development/testing role (for Technician IV, an Associate’s degree and 10 years of experience preferred)
• Must have knowledge of laboratory equipment; machine shop experience preferred
• Computer knowledge necessary
