Chemist

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain advanced analytical instruments with hands-on expertise in chromatographic and spectrometric techniques

• Perform analysis using:

  • Gas Chromatography (GC)
  • Gas Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS/MS)
  • Liquid Chromatography–Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS)
  • High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC)
  • Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP-OES/ICP-MS)

• Ensure optimal performance of laboratory instruments through routine calibration and preventive maintenance

• Conduct method verification and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytical results

• Troubleshoot instrument and method-related issues in a timely and effective manner

• Maintain proper documentation in compliance with laboratory standards and regulatory requirements

• Ensure adherence to GMP, FSSC 22000, and other applicable quality and food safety standards

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field

• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in analytical laboratory environment

• Strong practical experience with GC, GC-MS/MS, LC-MS/MS, HPLC, and ICP-OES/ICP-MS

• Good understanding of laboratory quality systems such as GMP and FSSC 22000

• Experience in method development, validation, and troubleshooting is an added advantage

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong team player with good communication skills
