Responsibilities:

• Perform chemical tests on food ingredients/wastewater and data checking prior preparing the test reports with prescribed format.
• Responsible to hold or assist in method developments and take part in method modification with the target of improving the accuracy and efficiency of the method together with the consideration of environment protection.
• Participate in, or take the lead in, resolving testing related problems. Evaluate such problems as required.
• Responsible for calibration and maintenance of sophisticated equipment regularly according to calibration and maintenance procedures. Assist in any troubleshooting of the equipment.
• Provide assistance or participate in internal and external audits, including HOKLAS assessment.
• Maintain stock control and purchase consumables and other items of expenditure.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Science, preferably in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or Food Science or related disciplines with 2-4 years working experience in laboratory related field; or
• Higher Diploma in Science, preferably in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or Food Science, or related disciplines with 3-5 years working experience in laboratory related field.
• Knowledge in ISO 17025 is a must
• Familiar with testing instrumental analysis including HPLC, GCMS or LCMSMS
• Experience in laboratory quality system training and new test development is preferred
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, Mandarin is an advantage
