Chemist

1. Job Purpose To ensure that all incoming oils, in-process samples, Batch Clearance and finished products comply with FSSAI, AGMARK, internal specifications, and customer requirements through timely, accurate chemical and physical analysis. The chemist supports safe food production, maintains lab documentation, and drives continual quality improvement in Mustard Oil and Multi-Source Edible Oil. ISO: 22000 desirable. 2. Key Responsibilities A. Routine Quality Testing ● Conduct chemical and physical tests on: o Mustard Oil (Kachi Ghani / Expeller) o Multi-Source Edible Oils (MSEO blends) ● Perform tests as per fssai and AGMARK such as: o Moisture & Volatile Matter o FFA (Free Fatty Acid) o Peroxide Value (PV) o Iodine Value o Saponification Value o Rancidity Test o Adulteration Tests (Argemone, Castor oil, mineral oil traces etc.) ● Conduct MSEO-specific tests like fatty acid profile (by external NABL lab) and blending accuracy checks. B. In-Process Control ● Test oil during filtration, storage, and filling to ensure: o No contamination o No mixing of batches o Temperature and handling parameters are as per SOP ● Ensure correct labeling, batch coding, and compliance with packer’s declaration. C. Documentation & Compliance ● Maintain lab registers, COA (Certificate of Analysis), batch release notes. ● Calibrate and maintain lab instruments (Weighing balance, Lovibond, burettes, oven, GC outsourced sample tracking). ● Ensure traceability of all tests as per ISO 22000 / HACCP requirements. ● Maintain retention samples and records as per FSSAI and internal SOP.

D. Sampling Responsibilities ● Receive samples with proper labeling and communication. ● Ensure correct sampling from tankers, storage tanks, and packing lines as per SOP. ● Reject improperly labeled samples E. Coordination ● Coordinate with: o Production team for batch release ● Support internal and external audits.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
