About the role

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Chemist to join PT Intertek Utama Services in East Jakarta. This is a full-time position. As a Chemist, you will play a crucial role in our laboratory and technical services operations, contributing to the quality assurance and chemical analysis work that supports our clients across various industries. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge laboratory equipment and methodologies whilst making a tangible impact on product quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in supervising and controlling daily laboratory activities and ensuring that quality testing processes run smoothly.
• Conduct analyses in laboratories for quality or process control.
• Perform, implement, and verify internal standards for laboratory quality control.
• Report to the Group Leader/supervisor regarding quality control.
• Ensure that instrument conditions used are appropriate for samples and the tested specifications.
• Maintain good working conditions, build teamwork, and ensure that QHSE standards are implemented during daily activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by superiors.

What we're looking for

• Education: Minimum Diploma III (D3) in Chemistry or a related field.
• Work Experience: Open to Fresh Graduates, or Experienced candidates with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a laboratory within the same industry.
• Skills & Competencies:
  ➣ Good understanding of petroleum and laboratory processes and services. 
  ➣ Disciplined, resourceful, with strong initiative and teamwork skills. 
  ➣ Proficient in computer application software such as spreadsheets and word processors. 
  ➣ Good physical health and not color-blind. 
  ➣ Willing to be placed anywhere.
