Chemist

Responsibilities

1.      Perform synthetic chemistry experiments and raw material qualification verification to confirm raw materials meet production specifications.

2.      Conduct process optimization experiments to reduce manufacturing cost. Record experimental data faithfully in lab notebooks, summarize test results and propose technical recommendations for process scale-up.

3.      Partner with production workshop to resolve production deviations and assist in preparing production documents.

4.      Follow EHS requirements strictly, identify potential lab hazards and implement corrective actions.

5.      Maintain synthesis lab and instruments to ensure safe, efficient and neat operation.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Chemistry or related chemical disciplines; relevant background may be considered case-by-case.
2. Familiar with organic synthesis operations, experience in chemical process optimization or scale-up is preferred.
3. Strong responsibility and teamwork awareness.
4. Awareness of EHS and good lab documentation practice.
5. Min Working Experience 2 years. Experience in chemical industry would be added advantage.
