Cherry Picker Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cherry Picker Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently operating cherry pickers and other material handling equipment to accurately pick, pack, and organize inventory within a fast-paced distribution environment. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse operations, uphold safety standards, and contribute to timely order fulfillment. Duties

• Operate cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and Hi-Lo equipment safely and efficiently to retrieve and store inventory
• Perform order picking using barcode scanning systems to ensure accurate shipment processing
• Load and unload materials from trucks while adhering to OSHA safety protocols and warehouse safety standards
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to maintain optimal functionality of material handling machinery
• Manage inventory levels through warehouse management systems (WMS), ensuring accurate stock counts and proper storage organization
• Assist in shipping & receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation
• Follow manual handling procedures for heavy lifting and materials movement to prevent injuries and maintain workplace safety

Requirements

• Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as cherry pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, or similar heavy machinery
• Knowledge of warehouse operations including inventory management, shipping & receiving, and materials handling
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and barcode scanning technology for logistics purposes
• Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements
• Strong understanding of forklift safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and manual handling best practices
• Prior experience in warehouse supervision or leading small teams is a plus but not mandatory
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow safety standards in production environments
• Physical capability to lift heavy loads, stand for extended periods, and perform manual handling tasks as required

Pay: $19.80 per hour
