Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) to provide basic healthcare services, support patient wellbeing, and assist with health education and preventive care. The ideal candidate should have relevant clinical experience and a strong commitment to quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide basic healthcare services and first-line patient care.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and general health conditions.
• Assist with patient assessments, routine health checks, and follow-up care.
• Administer medications and treatments within the scope of professional training and authorisation.
• Educate patients and their families on hygiene, nutrition, disease prevention, and general health practices.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Identify changes in patients' health conditions and escalate concerns to the appropriate medical professionals.
• Support infection prevention and control procedures.
• Work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide compassionate care and maintain patient confidentiality.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification as a Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) from a recognised institution.
• Valid registration and practising licence with the appropriate regulatory body.
• Previous clinical or healthcare facility experience is an advantage.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and observational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow clinical procedures.
• Compassionate, patient, responsible, and professional.
• Ability to work effectively within a healthcare team.

Salary and Benefits

• Monthly salary: ₦130,000.
• Accommodation provided.

Pay: ₦130,000.00 per hour
