Chief Accountant

About the role

To ensure that the financial statement is closed and audit on a timely manner and accurate and to provide necessary support to Financial Controller. The role involves overseeing the accounting office per organization chart and job functions, with financial management responsibilities for all financial statements, accounting and statistical reports.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of the P&L on month end and review preliminary P&L for Financial Controller
• Financial Management responsibilities for the Balance Sheet Accounts and oversee preparation of all Balance Sheet Accounts
• Sign off all accounts before final approval by the Director of Finance
• Advise the Director of Finance any problem accounts
• Monitor Balance sheet for opportunities to improve working of capital situation
• Monitor daily cash balances via Finance Manager and co-ordinate all payments ensuring all invoices paid are deferred per working capital standards
• Maximize cash flow and create investment opportunities
• Supervise bank reconciliation of bank accounts by Credit Manager
• Review Hotel Management and Non-Management Payroll
• Development of the annual operating budget and schedule and chair all budget meetings

• Good command of English both speaking and writing
• Strong supervisory skills and managerial skills
• Good inter-personal skills
• Good Computer literate
