Chief Accountant

Role Description The Chief Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Badung, responsible for overseeing all accounting operations and ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role includes managing the general ledger, supervising month-end and year-end closing, and preparing financial statements in compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The Chief Accountant will monitor budgets, cash flow, and forecasts, manage tax filings and audits, and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve leading and mentoring the accounting team, coordinating with other divisions on financial matters, and providing management with clear financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Strong financial accounting and reporting skills, including general ledger management and preparation of financial statements.
• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management to support strategic and operational planning.
• Knowledge of tax regulations, audit processes, and compliance requirements relevant to the region and industry.
• Experience implementing and maintaining internal controls, risk management practices, and accounting policies.
• Advanced skills in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as solid command of spreadsheets and financial analysis tools.
• Proven leadership abilities, including team supervision, performance management, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights to non-finance stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA or equivalent) is highly beneficial.
• Relevant experience in a senior accounting or finance role, preferably within a multi-division or integrated service organization.
