Chief Accountant

• Education Requirement: Minimum of a Diploma in Accountancy or relevant.
• Professional Registration: Must be a registered member of MIA (Malaysian Institute of Accountants) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).
• Experience: A minimum of 4 to 5 years of proven working experience in similar roles.
• Skills and Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in financial operations, compliance management, and strategic decision-making.
• Leadership Qualities: Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and inspire a financial team.

Job Purpose

This position is responsible for ensuring timely & accurate financial reporting according to accounting standards and in line with the Hotel’s policy & procedures.

Primary Responsibilities - Accounting Procedures

• Prepare month-end & year-end closing journals
• Compile financial reports for management in accordance to policies & procedures
• Ensure bank sheet reconciliations are completed on a timely and accurate manner
• Check daily bank statements for abnormalities
• Manage Corporate tax compilation and submission, ensure accurate payment is made
• Attend to Corporate queries and requests
• Supervise respective Finance sections and ensure timely submission of all related reports and compliance to policy & procedures
