Job Description

We are looking for a Chief Agentic Systems Architect to lead the modernization of a complex legacy software platform and build the architectural foundation for AI-agent-driven software engineering.

The role requires a senior software architect with strong hands-on expertise in .NET, C#, Node.js, TypeScript, distributed systems, API architecture and legacy modernization, along with practical experience in Generative AI, LLMs, AI Agents and MCP (Model Context Protocol).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead modernization of complex legacy/monolithic applications into modular, scalable and maintainable systems.
• Define software architecture, system design, service boundaries and engineering standards.
• Drive phased legacy modernization using modern architectural patterns.
• Design scalable microservices and distributed systems.
• Own API architecture and contract-first API design.
• Design AI-agent-ready systems and intelligent context layers.
• Develop/design MCP servers and AI tool interfaces for APIs, services and databases.
• Define agentic workflows, skills, rules, commands and LLM tooling.
• Provide architectural governance for AI-generated code and engineering workflows.
• Establish TDD, characterization testing and automated testing practices.
• Ensure security, scalability, reliability and production readiness of AI-generated solutions.

What We Are Looking For

• Proven experience as a Chief Architect, Principal Architect, Software Architect, Solution Architect, Principal Engineer or similar senior technical leadership role.
• Strong hands-on experience with .NET/C#, Node.js and TypeScript.
• Demonstrated experience modernizing large, complex or undocumented legacy systems.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, APIs and modular architecture.
• Practical experience working with LLMs, AI Agents, Generative AI or AI-assisted development.
• Experience with MCP / Model Context Protocol is highly preferred.
• Strong focus on clean, deterministic, secure and production-ready software.
• Excellent technical ownership, architectural decision-making and communication skills.
• Comfortable working independently with globally distributed teams.
