Chief Digital Officer

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Digital Officer (CDO) to lead the organization's digital transformation and innovation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in technical leadership, strategic planning, and digital systems management. As a key member of the executive team, the CDO will spearhead the development and implementation of a comprehensive digital strategy aimed at improving operational efficiency, enhancing customer engagement, and solidifying competitive advantage. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of the company's digital ecosystem by leveraging cutting-edge technologies,such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and scalable system design,to drive the organization forward.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive digital strategy aligned with organizational goals, focusing on innovation, scalability, and security compliance.

Lead cross,functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable systems using technologies such as React, Angular, Node.js, Java, C#, and Python.

Oversee enterprise level IT infrastructure (including cloud platforms like AWS and Azure), ensuring system performance and security meet NIST standards and ISO 27001 specifications.

Manage cybersecurity initiatives, including information security compliance programs, risk management protocols, disaster recovery planning, and the implementation of frameworks such as FISMA and PCI.

Drive digital transformation projects, leveraging AI technologies (e.g., machine learning, natural language processing) to enhance business intelligence and operational efficiency.

Mentor technical project and program managers in executing complex system design and development tasks using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies within Agile or ITIL frameworks.

Collaborate with the executive team to establish strategic management mechanisms supporting business continuity planning and IT governance, while ensuring effective budget management.

Build a high,performing technical team through talent development, team management, and strategic planning for technical infrastructure growth.

Qualifications

Over 12 years of extensive senior technical leadership experience, with a proven track record of successfully leading large scale digital transformation projects.

Deep expertise in computer networking, distributed systems, WAN architecture, cloud development (AWS/Azure), and cloud infrastructure management. Possesses a solid background in software development with expertise in various programming languages ​​and technologies, including JavaScript (React/Angular), Java, C#, PHP, SQL (Oracle/Microsoft SQL Server), MongoDB, Linux environments, and DevOps practices. Proven track record of successfully managing information security projects aligned with ISO 27001 standards and federal cybersecurity regulations such as FISMA and NIST.

Experienced in leading technical teams to design scalable systems and ensuring enterprise grade applications meet security and compliance requirements.

Proficient in project management methodologies such as Agile and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a focus on strategic priorities.

Demonstrates excellent verbal communication skills, with experience articulating complex technical concepts to executive leadership; skilled in negotiation and stakeholder management.

Experienced in managing diverse IT teams; adept at fostering collaboration among senior leadership to drive the implementation of innovative initiatives.

Pay: $250,000.00 - $300,000.00 per year
