Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Engineer to oversee the maintenance and operational integrity of our building facilities. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring that all building systems function efficiently, safely, and reliably. The ideal candidate will manage a team of maintenance professionals, coordinate facilities management activities, and implement preventative maintenance programs to uphold the highest standards of building performance and safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of maintenance technicians and engineers, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee daily operations related to building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and other mechanical systems.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Coordinate facilities management activities such as repairs, renovations, safety inspections, and compliance with local regulations.
• Monitor building performance metrics and troubleshoot issues promptly to ensure continuous operation.
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and service providers to facilitate maintenance projects and service contracts.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for reporting and compliance purposes.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team.

Skills

• Proven experience in building maintenance management or engineering roles with a strong understanding of building systems.
• Excellent team management and leadership skills to supervise technical staff effectively.
• Strong knowledge of facilities management practices, including preventive maintenance planning.
• Technical proficiency in HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire safety systems, and other relevant building infrastructure.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
• Good communication skills for coordinating with team members, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards related to building operations.
