Chief Engineer (C/E) | Other – General Cargo Ship

Join OSM Thome as Chief Engineer on a General Cargo vessel trading worldwide. Take full charge of the engine department and keep all machinery running safely and efficiently.

• Key responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise the engine room team
  • Operate, maintain and repair main engine, auxiliaries and all machinery
  • Plan and carry out preventive maintenance
  • Monitor fuel, lube oil and spare parts consumption and ordering
  • Ensure safe engine room operations and compliance with company and statutory rules
  • Keep engine room logs, records and reports up to date
• Requirements:
  • Valid Chief Engineer license for seagoing vessels
  • Experience as C/E or 2/E on cargo vessels
  • Valid STCW certificates and medical fitness
  • Good English communication skills
  • Strong leadership, teamwork and safety mindset
