Chief Engineer

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Chief Engineer to lead our engineering initiatives across multiple disciplines. Duties

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of mechanical, civil, and systems engineering projects using CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Oversee project scheduling, resource allocation, and timeline management to ensure timely project delivery.
• Conduct root cause analysis on engineering issues, troubleshooting system failures, and implementing effective corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop detailed schematics, 3D models for product design, and building information modeling (BIM) tools for construction projects.
• Ensure all mechanical systems meet building code compliance and fire protection standards through rigorous building code analysis.
• Manage research activities, data collection, and laboratory testing to support innovative engineering solutions.
• Provide leadership in project management activities while fostering team development through mentorship and clear communication of technical goals.

Skills

• Extensive experience with project scheduling, project management methodologies, and engineering troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and BIM tools; familiarity with 3D scanning for product design.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including mechanical design, schematics creation, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and mechanical systems design.
• Competence in civil engineering concepts related to construction experience and building code analysis for compliance purposes.
• Skilled in programming languages such as Python and C++, scripting for automation tasks, MATLAB for data analysis, and system design integration.
• Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), fire protection systems, and manufacturing processes within industrial or manufacturing settings.
• Data analysis skills including data collection techniques; experience with research methodologies in laboratory environments is highly desirable.
• Excellent team leadership abilities combined with strong cross-functional communication skills to coordinate efforts across disciplines such as mining, mechanical knowledge applications, and systems engineering.

Pay: $49,756.40 - $52,000.00 per year
