We are seeking a skilled Chief Engineer primarily for our 3,000 HP, 498 GT Vessel, the OAG Responder. In this critical role, you’ll ensure reliable vessel performance and operational safety

What You’ll Do

• Plan and execute preventive maintenance and repairs for all engineering systems.

• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

• Manage spare parts, consumables, and onboard inventories.

• Oversee fuel, lube, and waste handling, ensuring MARPOL and environmental compliance.

• Supervise Assistant Engineers

• Coordinate shipyard periods, vendor work, and maintain class/USCG records.

Qualifications

• MMC national officer endorsement as Chief Engineer-Limited , motor propulsion, valid for 3,000 HP or more , oceans.

• STCW Chief Engineer Officer , management level, motor 750 kW/1,000 HP to 3,000 kW/4,000 HP, or 3,000 kW/4,000 HP and above

• Current STCW Basic Training

• Current STCW Advanced Firefighting

• Current USCG Medical Certification (STCW)

• Valid TWIC

• US Citizenship

• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
