Chief Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Chief Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will guide the architecture and integration of Zero Trust capabilities in support of complex mission environments. The Chief Engineer will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams and senior military stakeholders to shape technical direction, manage risk, and ensure alignment with cybersecurity requirements. This position combines enterprise IT engineering leadership, compliance oversight, and clear technical communication.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $161,500 – $218,500 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and integration for Zero Trust capabilities
• Direct cross-functional teams to achieve mission outcomes
• Define and maintain the Zero Trust technical approach
• Oversee requirements management and risk mitigation
• Manage compliance with cybersecurity frameworks and reporting
• Deliver briefings and technical communications to senior stakeholders

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in relevant IT design and architecture roles
• 10+ years of enterprise IT engineering experience
• Deep understanding of Zero Trust Architecture principles
• Proven experience leading cross-functional engineering teams
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior military leadership
