Chief Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of all building systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers and maintenance staff, ensuring efficient and effective performance.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to enhance the longevity and reliability of hotel facilities.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
• Manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and coordinate with external vendors and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and building codes.
• Identify and implement energy-saving initiatives to promote sustainability.
• Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining high standards of service and quality.

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma or above in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
• Holder of Registered Electrical Worker Certificate (Grade B) and familiar with Hong Kong Government Licensing Regulations
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in hotel industry or building facility maintenance is preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficient in building management systems and software.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong English and Chinese writing skills; proficiency in Putonghua is a plus.
