Chief Engineer

Parmenter Realty Partners is hiring a Chief Engineer to lead building operations at one of our Class A office properties in Tampa. You'll report directly to the Property Manager, lead the engineering team, and own the performance of every building system. What You'll Do

• Lead, schedule, and direct the building engineering staff
• Oversee operation and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building control systems
• Build and manage the preventive maintenance program and spare parts inventory
• Respond promptly to work orders and tenant requests, and follow up to make sure they're resolved
• Manage vendors, obtain competitive bids, and recommend value-engineering solutions
• Oversee tenant improvement and capital projects so all work meets building standards, code, and ADA requirements
• Maintain required logs and records (OSHA, NFPA, LEED) and keep building plans current
• Drive energy and water efficiency, including Energy Star reporting
• Lead hurricane preparedness and emergency response for the property
• Step in for the Property Manager when needed

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of commercial building engineering experience, including time as a Chief or Assistant Chief Engineer
• Proven ability to supervise and motivate an engineering team
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, and building automation systems
• EPA 608 Universal certification
• A working understanding of construction methods and the ability to read drawings
• A customer-service mindset and strong communication with tenants, staff, and vendors
