Chief Engineer

Job Summary

The Chief Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all engineering, maintenance, utilities, and technical operations of the resort, ensuring uninterrupted functioning of facilities, guest rooms, restaurants, and adventure activities while maintaining safety and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the maintenance and operation of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and civil systems.

Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of all resort facilities and equipment.

Manage DG sets, transformers, chillers, boilers, STP, WTP, swimming pools, and other utilities.

Ensure uninterrupted power, water supply, air-conditioning, and other essential services.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules and engineering SOPs.

Monitor energy consumption and implement cost-saving and energy-efficiency initiatives.

Ensure compliance with fire safety, electrical safety, statutory requirements, and environmental regulations.

• Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and service providers.
• Prepare departmental budgets, maintenance reports, and capital expenditure plans.
• Lead, train, and supervise the engineering and maintenance team.
• Respond promptly to technical breakdowns and guest-related maintenance issues.
• Maintain records of equipment, AMC contracts, inspections, and statutory certificates.

Job Expectations A technically sound and hands-on engineering professional with strong leadership skills, capable of managing complex resort infrastructure, ensuring guest comfort, maintaining safety standards, and optimising operational costs.

Minimum Qualification Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.

Minimum Job Experience 10–15 years of relevant experience in engineering and maintenance.
