About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineering to join PT Bali Mana One in a full-time capacity based in Bali. This is a strategic leadership position that will be instrumental in shaping the direction of our engineering operations and driving technical excellence across the organisation. As Chief Engineering, you will have overall responsibility for engineering strategy, operations, and the development of our technical capabilities. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the company's growth and innovation trajectory whilst leading a talented engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Developing and implementing comprehensive engineering strategies aligned with the company's business objectives and long-term vision
• Overseeing all engineering operations, including project execution, quality assurance, and technical compliance
• Leading, mentoring and managing the engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and professional development
• Ensuring adherence to engineering standards, best practices and regulatory requirements across all projects and operations
• Collaborating with senior management and other departments to ensure engineering solutions support broader organisational goals
• Managing budgets and resources effectively to optimise operational efficiency and deliver value
• Identifying and implementing new technologies and methodologies to enhance engineering capabilities and competitive advantage
• Establishing key performance indicators and monitoring metrics to drive accountability and continuous improvement
• Representing the engineering function in strategic planning and decision-making processes

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience in a senior engineering leadership role, with a proven track record of managing large-scale technical operations
• Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to translate business requirements into engineering solutions
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with experience in building and developing high-performing teams
• Advanced technical expertise in relevant engineering disciplines, with deep knowledge of industry standards and best practices
• Demonstrated success in driving innovation and implementing process improvements that deliver measurable results
• Strong project management capabilities with experience overseeing complex, multi-disciplinary projects
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate challenging technical and operational issues
• Experience in budget management and financial planning within engineering departments
• Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in engineering or related fields are preferred
