Chief Executive Officer

Our client is a market leader in the building sector with a reputation for world-class design and innovation.  Their impressive manufacturing sites in the Waikato are part of a fully integrated supply chain, serving a national customer base.  This is a large privately held business where the next chapter of growth will be shaped by a leader who can respect the past whilst driving meaningful change.

Reporting to the Group CEO, the Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the strategic, operational and financial performance of the business.  They lead a team of 450 people including all manufacturing, supply chain, customer, R&D, and support functions.  The role will lead a genuinely exciting agenda that will position the business for further growth, including supporting further customer development, implementing new technology, driving operational excellence, growing and retaining market share in a competitive environment, and maintaining the business' reputation for world-class design and innovation.

We are seeking an experienced CEO with a track record leading a complex manufacturing-based business.  Having a technical or engineering background is essential to building credibility with customers and internal stakeholders alike.  Experience in the building and construction sectors will be highly regarded.

The ideal candidate will combine strategic thinking, commercial acumen and a hands-on understanding of manufacturing in a complex environment.  Collaborating effectively with other businesses in the Group is essential to delivering exceptional customer service.  Customers sit at the heart of the business and the new CEO will need to have a proven track record of building close customer relationships, earning trust and credibility through their actions.
