Chief Financial Officer

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Leadership

• Develop and execute the organization's financial strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and leadership team on financial planning and business growth.
• Drive long-term financial sustainability and value creation.
• Support business expansion, investments, mergers, acquisitions, and strategic initiatives.

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and business planning processes.
• Analyze financial performance and recommend corrective actions to improve profitability.
• Present periodic financial reports and management insights to senior leadership and the Board.
• Establish and monitor key financial KPIs.

Financial Operations

• Oversee accounting, treasury, taxation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Ensure efficient cash flow management and working capital optimization.
• Monitor capital expenditure and operational costs.
• Improve financial processes through automation and best practices.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory regulations, taxation laws, and corporate governance requirements.
• Manage statutory audits, internal audits, and regulatory reporting.
• Strengthen financial controls, risk management, and internal control frameworks.
• Ensure timely completion of all financial and regulatory filings.

Risk Management

• Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Maintain appropriate insurance coverage and business continuity plans.
• Monitor liquidity, credit, market, and operational risks.

Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain relationships with banks, financial institutions, auditors, consultants, investors, and regulatory authorities.
• Support fundraising activities, financing arrangements, and capital management.
• Represent the finance function in leadership and Board discussions.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, integrity, and continuous improvement.
• Drive capability building and succession planning within the finance function.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong financial strategy and business acumen.
• Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and MIS reporting.
• Sound knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, auditing, and corporate finance.
• Experience in treasury management and cash flow optimization.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and people management capabilities.

Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory.

Experience

• 15–25 years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, and financial leadership.
• Proven experience leading finance functions at a senior leadership level.
• Demonstrated ability to drive financial transformation and strategic business initiatives.
