About this role:

Reporting directly to the Head of IT Production, the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) will play a strategic role in protecting the organization’s information, technology infrastructure, and digital assets.

The role will be responsible for defining and driving the information security strategy, strengthening the organization’s security posture, and ensuring that security principles are embedded across IT architecture, infrastructure, cloud environments, and service delivery.

Working closely with Product Development and other key stakeholders, the CISO will also contribute to the design, development, and expansion of innovative cybersecurity services and solutions for customers, supporting business growth and digital transformation.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the information security program to protect IT assets, applications, systems, and infrastructure.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy and operating framework.
• Establish security controls to prevent, detect, respond to, and recover from cyberattacks.
• Collaborate with the Head of IT Production to manage technology and cybersecurity risks effectively.
• Partner with IT Architecture, Product Development, and Sales teams to develop and deliver security solutions to customers.
• Monitor and manage cyber risks, including vulnerability management and IT lifecycle management.
• Define and oversee IT business continuity and disaster recovery procedures.
• Knowledge of NIS2 requirements and experience with compliance implementation would be considered an advantage.

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• English level (B2).
• CISSP, CISM, or other relevant cybersecurity certifications.
• Proven experience in a CISO or senior cybersecurity role is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of NIS2 requirements is considered an advantage.

Location: Bucharest, Romania | 2 days at the office, with flexibility

Contract Type: B2B Collaboration (SRL/PFA) or CIM

Salary: daily rate for B2B -> 40-50 euro/h
