About the role

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Operating Officer to join Gencore Construction Corp. in a full-time capacity, based in Angeles City, Pampanga. This is a strategic leadership position that will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence across all facets of our organisation. Reporting directly to executive leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, optimising processes, managing resources, and ensuring the company achieves its ambitious business objectives. This role is essential to our continued growth and success in the competitive construction and engineering sector.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all operational functions including project management, resource allocation, procurement, and supply chain management
• Develop and implement operational strategies that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve profitability
• Monitor key performance indicators and operational metrics to ensure targets are met or exceeded
• Manage relationships with project stakeholders, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies across all operations
• Lead, mentor, and develop the operational management team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance operational performance
• Prepare comprehensive operational reports and provide strategic recommendations to senior management and the board
• Manage the operational budget and ensure effective allocation of financial and human resources
• Establish and maintain quality standards across all projects and operational activities

What we're looking for

• 15+ years of progressive experience in construction, engineering, or related operational management roles
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects and complex operational environments
• Strong background in operational strategy, process optimisation, and business improvement initiatives
• Excellent understanding of construction industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements
• Demonstrated experience in financial management, budget control, and resource planning
• Exceptional leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire and manage diverse teams
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Advanced problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking mindset
• Proficiency in construction management software and business systems
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or equivalent qualification preferred
• Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to present complex information clearly
