Position Overview

Our client is seeking a strategic, hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead their global engineering, infrastructure, and technology product divisions. You will drive technology strategy, architect highly resilient microservices platforms, enforce strict data security standards, and scale distributed engineering teams across multiple markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Technology Leadership & Strategy: Define and execute long-term technology roadmaps to support high-growth, high-volume interactive software platforms.
• Architecture & Performance: Oversee the architectural execution of low-latency, high-concurrency transactional processing systems and real-time state engine solutions.
• Infrastructure & Reliability: Lead cloud-native infrastructure engineering, ensuring 99.99% system availability, disaster recovery, and seamless edge-network distribution.
• Security, Compliance & Risk: Partner with legal and risk management to enforce strict cybersecurity controls, data privacy standards (GDPR, ISO 27001), automated audit logging, and platform regulatory compliance.
• Team Building & Culture: Build, mentor, and scale high-performing global engineering, DevOps, and QA teams across multiple time zones.
• Data & AI Integration: Oversee big-data engineering, real-time analytics pipelines, and fraud prevention/risk management algorithms.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 15+ years of progressive technology leadership, with proven experience as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or Chief Architect in high-concurrency digital consumer platforms (e.g., FinTech, E-Commerce, High-Frequency Trading, AdTech, or Streaming Media).
• Technical Mastery: Deep hands-on experience with modern tech stacks (e.g., Go, Java, Rust, Node.js), event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ), containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), and cloud ecosystems (AWS/GCP).
• System Scalability: Proven track record of scaling high-throughput, real-time transactional platforms handling high-volume API traffic and financial transactions.
• Security & Compliance Expertise: Strong knowledge of regulatory tech frameworks, payment gateway integrations, and anti-fraud monitoring architectures.
• Executive Presence: Outstanding leadership and communication skills, with a track record of translating complex technical concepts to executive stakeholders and external partners.
