Chief Technology Officer

The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is responsible for leading the company’s overall technology strategy, infrastructure, product development, cybersecurity, and technical operations. The CTO will align technology initiatives with business objectives, drive innovation, build high-performing engineering teams, and ensure the company maintains scalable, secure, and reliable technology systems.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and execute the company’s long-term technology strategy and roadmap.

* Lead technology, engineering, software development, IT, data, and cybersecurity functions.

* Translate business goals into effective technology solutions and initiatives.

* Oversee the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of software products and platforms.

* Establish scalable technology architecture and infrastructure.

* Ensure systems are secure, reliable, high-performing, and cost-effective.

* Lead digital transformation and adoption of emerging technologies, including AI and automation.

* Establish technology standards, development processes, and best practices.

* Manage technology budgets, vendors, technology investments, and resource allocation.

* Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain senior technical talent.

* Work closely with the CEO, COO, CFO, CPO, and other executives on strategic initiatives.

* Identify and manage technology risks, cybersecurity threats, and compliance requirements.

* Establish KPIs and performance metrics for technology teams and initiatives.

* Evaluate new technologies, platforms, tools, and strategic partnerships.

* Ensure business continuity, disaster recovery, data protection, and system availability.

* Communicate complex technical concepts and technology strategy to executive leadership and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

* Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.

* **10+ years of experience** in technology, software engineering, IT, or a related field.

* **5+ years of leadership/management experience**, preferably at a senior or executive level.

* Proven experience developing and executing technology strategies.

* Experience leading engineering or technology organizations.

* Strong understanding of cloud computing, software architecture, cybersecurity, databases, APIs, and modern development practices.

* Experience managing technology budgets and large-scale projects.

* Strong knowledge of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and software development lifecycle practices.
