Child Care Assistant

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Assist with implementing age-appropriate curriculum plans focused on childhood development and learning objectives
• Support children with their personal needs, including diapering, feeding, and comfort as required
• Foster positive behavior management strategies to promote respectful interactions and social skills
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and safety
• Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly

Skills

• Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings
• Knowledge of child development instruction and classroom management techniques
• Certification in first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid to ensure safety in emergency situations
• Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
• Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration
• Ability to handle toddler care, infant care, and classroom supervision confidently
• Understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
