Child Care Assistant

Do you have a passion for supporting young children as they learn, grow, and explore the world around them? We’re looking for a caring and enthusiastic Childcare Assistant to join our nursery and help create a safe, joyful environment where every child can thrive.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the daily care and supervision of children in the nursery
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for play and learning
• Engage children in age‑appropriate opportunities
• Communicate with parents about the children's day
• Work collaboratively with other staff to maintain a positive, supportive atmosphere

Experience & Qualities We Value

• Previous experience working with young children is preferred
• Knowledge of child development and age‑appropriate opportunities is an advantage
• Strong communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues
• Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children
• A proactive, reliable, and friendly approach

Additional Requirements

• A DBS check will be carried out
• References will be required
• Training in childcare may be available depending on previous experience
• Wage is dependent on experience and qualifications
