Kids At Heart Preschool & Child Care Centers is looking for a caring, dependable Assistant Teacher to join our team!

This is a part-time position with the potential to grow into full-time as opportunities become available. The Assistant Teacher will work as a flexible member of our teaching team, helping support different classrooms, age groups, and teachers throughout the center as needed.

Our Assistant Teachers help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and grow. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to gain experience and grow within the early childhood education field.

What You'll Do

• Assist Lead Teachers with daily classroom activities, routines, and learning experiences
• Help care for children's individual needs, including hygiene, meals/snacks, transitions, and rest times
• Engage with children through play, conversation, and age-appropriate educational activities
• Use positive reinforcement and redirection to support appropriate classroom behavior
• Help maintain a clean, organized, safe, and welcoming classroom
• Assist with classroom records and other daily responsibilities
• Provide support in different classrooms throughout the center as needed
• Work as part of a supportive team focused on giving children a great preschool and child care experience

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience working with children is a plus — including child care, preschool, summer camp, babysitting, coaching, or similar experience
• Valid government-issued ID required
• Must be able to successfully complete required background checks
• Dependable, patient, positive, and comfortable working with children of different ages
• Willingness to learn and grow as an early childhood educator

Starting pay is based on education and relevant experience.

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
