Responsibilities

• Manage daily center operations, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children and staff
• Lead classroom management efforts, supporting teachers with curriculum implementation aligned with early childhood education standards
• Oversee child supervision to ensure safety and appropriate engagement at all times
• Coordinate parent communication, providing updates on children's progress and addressing concerns promptly
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health regulations, and safety protocols including pediatric first aid and CPR certification requirements
• Facilitate staff training in child development instruction, behavior management, special education needs, and classroom best practices
• Maintain accurate records related to child attendance, developmental assessments, incident reports, and licensing documentation
• Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages professional growth and high-quality childcare delivery

Experience

• Proven experience working with children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with disabilities
• Prior classroom experience in daycare centers or early childhood education settings demonstrating strong classroom management skills
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles and teaching strategies for young children
• Familiarity with daycare center operations, including health & safety standards and licensing requirements
• Experience communicating effectively with parents to build trust and support child development goals
• Certification in first aid and CPR (including pediatric first aid) is required; ongoing training in mandated reporting laws is essential
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team of childcare professionals while maintaining high standards of care and education
