Responsibilities

• Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and learning
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment conducive to play and exploration
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, needs, and any concerns
• Follow mandated reporting laws by promptly reporting any signs of abuse or neglect
• Assist with basic health procedures such as administering first aid or pediatric CPR when necessary
• Support children with special needs or disabilities through tailored care strategies and inclusive practices
• Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques to foster respectful interactions
• Adhere to all licensing regulations, safety protocols, and childcare standards

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Certification in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid is required; ongoing training encouraged
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
• Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration
• Classroom management skills to maintain a safe and organized environment
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with energy, patience, and enthusiasm
• Relevant experience in nannying or babysitting is beneficial but not mandatory

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 45.0 per week
