Child Care Worker

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Care Worker to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education, classroom management, and caregiving. This role involves working closely with children, supporting their developmental needs, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere. Experience with children, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, is essential to ensure quality care and educational support.

Duties

• Supervise and monitor children during play, meals, naps, and activities to ensure safety at all times
• Implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment conducive to learning and play
• Assist with potty training and diapering as needed for infants and toddlers
• Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing individualized care
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and daily activities
• Follow safety protocols including first aid procedures when necessary
• Manage behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and classroom management techniques
• Collaborate with team members to plan educational activities aligned with childhood development standards

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management strategies
• Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with children, parents, and team members
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in nurturing children's growth and learning
• Flexibility to adapt to different age groups such as infants, toddlers, or preschoolers
• Relevant background in early childhood education or caregiving preferred
