Child Care Worker

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Care Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children across various age groups, including infants, preschoolers and school-aged children. The position involves interacting with children and communicating effectively with parents to ensure their child's needs are met. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals passionate about early childhood development and creating positive experiences for children. Our Center hours are 6-5:30 Monday to Friday.

Duties

• Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, socialization, and development
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily updates
• Provide attentive care to preschoolers, supporting their emotional and physical needs
• Assist with routine tasks such as meal times, nap times, and playtime supervision
• Interact positively with children to foster a supportive and encouraging environment
• Split shifts (morning and afternoon) are available to accommodate program schedules
• Support different age groups by adapting care approaches to meet developmental requirements

Experience

• Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting is preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with both children and parents
• Ability to engage children in meaningful activities that support their growth and development
• Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in early childhood education are essential qualities for success in this role

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 20.0 per week
