Child Care Worker

Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social development for toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
• Provide attentive care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized environment that encourages exploration and safe play
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, behavior, and any concerns
• Follow mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting incidents or concerns related to child safety or well-being
• Apply behavior management techniques to guide positive social interactions and resolve conflicts effectively

Qualifications

• Experience working with children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Prior experience in daycare, babysitting, nannying, or youth programs is highly desirable
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; ongoing training preferred
• Strong child supervision skills with the ability to respond swiftly in emergency situations
• Ability to plan engaging activities tailored to different developmental stages
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and abuse prevention
• Excellent communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 40.0 per week
