Duties

• Supervise and ensure the safety of children during play, learning activities, and transitions throughout the day
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, creativity, and social skills for toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
• Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment that encourages exploration and learning
• Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly
• Administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary to ensure children's health and safety

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children
• Demonstrated experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development stages, and behavior management techniques
• Certification in first aid and CPR from an accredited organization is required; ongoing training preferred
• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with parents, colleagues, and children
• Classroom or daycare experience that highlights activity planning for children and child supervision skills
• Ability to follow safety protocols diligently while creating a fun and engaging environment
• Prior nannying or babysitting experience is highly valued

Pay: $11.00 - $18.00 per hour
