Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging training curricula aligned with best practices in child welfare, incorporating adult learning theories and instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation).
  • Design and produce e-learning courses using platforms like Adobe Captivate and LMS (Learning Management System) tools to facilitate accessible professional development.
  • Lead the creation of instructional content for classroom sessions, online modules, and blended learning formats that enhance understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of training programs while maintaining high-quality standards through effective project management techniques.
  • Conduct needs assessments by researching current trends in child welfare, collecting data, and analyzing organizational training gaps to tailor content accordingly.
  • Facilitate training sessions with excellent public speaking and communication skills while fostering an inclusive environment for adult learners.
  • Evaluate employee performance post-training through assessments and feedback mechanisms to measure effectiveness and identify areas for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with human resources teams on talent management initiatives such as onboarding, employee orientation, succession planning, and mentoring programs related to child welfare practices.
  • Utilize learning technology tools like SharePoint, Workday, HRIS systems, and enterprise LMS platforms to streamline content management and reporting processes.
  • Support change management initiatives by designing training that promotes organizational design improvements and human capital development strategies.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in curriculum development, instructional design (preferably with ADDIE), and adult education principles within a corporate or nonprofit setting focused on child welfare or social services.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing employee training programs in a human resources context with a focus on professional development and talent management.
  • Strong knowledge of learning technology tools including Adobe Captivate, LMS platforms (such as Enterprise Learning Management systems), e-learning course content development, SharePoint, Workday, and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives efficiently while meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills with experience in public speaking, presentation delivery, technical writing, and conflict management.
  • Familiarity with program management concepts such as succession planning, performance management, employee evaluation processes, and organizational design strategies.
  • Ability to research current trends in child welfare practices through data collection and analysis to inform content updates.
  • Classroom experience or hands-on facilitation skills are highly desirable for engaging adult learners effectively.
  • A background in human resources or human capital management is advantageous; certifications related to instructional design or adult education are a plus.
