Childcare Assistant

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–4:00 PM Children: 10 children, ages 7 months to 3 years

Job Summary

We are seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic childcare assistant who genuinely loves working with children and supporting their growth and development. The ideal candidate will help provide a safe, nurturing, clean, and engaging environment for infants and toddlers.

Key Responsibilities

● Child Supervision and Engagement: Interact with children, support their development, and help with age-appropriate crafts, activities, and learning experiences.

● Cleaning and Sanitation: Perform light cleaning throughout the day, including sweeping, sanitizing surfaces and high chairs, wiping tables and countertops, and organizing toys.

● Diapering and Clothing Changes: Monitor children and change diapers and clothing as needed.

● Nap Time Assistance: Help children settle into their assigned beds or cots and ensure they use their designated linens.

● Mealtime and Bottle Feeding: Assist with infant feeding, distribute meals and snacks provided by parents, serve milk, label cups with dates as required, and follow proper handwashing and food-handling procedures.

Job Qualifications

● Must be at least 18 years old.

● High school diploma or equivalent required.

● Childcare experience preferred (2 years preferred).

● Required childcare criminal background check and qualification letter on

file.

● Complete 20 hours of child development training within the first six months of employment.

● Obtain CPR/First Aid certification within the first 3 months of employment (paid for by the employer).

● Complete ITS-SIDS Safe Sleep training within 2 months of working in the infant area (paid for by the employer).

● Submit a medical report and TB screening documentation.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
