Childcare Educator

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Childcare Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of childhood development. This role involves providing a safe, nurturing environment for children while fostering their growth and development through engaging activities and educational experiences. Must be 18 years old. High School Diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the safety of children in your care at all times.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
• Provide care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, including feeding, diapering, and personal hygiene.
• Assist with behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions among children.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to learning and play.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
• Collaborate with other childcare staff to create a supportive team atmosphere.
• Document children's activities, milestones, and any incidents as required.

Skills

• First aid certification is preferred to ensure the safety of all children.
• Previous experience in daycare settings or as a nanny/babysitter is recommended.
• Strong classroom management skills to maintain an engaging learning environment.
• Ability to work effectively with students of various ages and backgrounds.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques to support children's emotional needs.
