Kidstore Childcare is expanding, and we’re excited to be opening our NEW out of school care service – BIG Kidstore.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and reliable Childcare Practitioner to join our team for 16 hours per week and help us make BIG Kidstore a fun, welcoming and engaging place for school-aged children.

The Role

As a Childcare Practitioner at BIG Kidstore, you will help provide a safe, fun and inclusive environment for children before and/or after school.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering fun, age-appropriate activities and experiences
• Supporting children's play, wellbeing and development
• Helping create a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment
• Building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
• Supporting daily routines, including snacks, activities and transitions
• Ensuring children's safety and wellbeing at all times
• Working as part of the wider Kidstore Childcare team to maintain our high standards of care

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Is enthusiastic, caring and genuinely enjoys working with children
• Is reliable, approachable and able to work well as part of a team
• Can bring creativity and energy to an out of school care environment
• Understands the importance of safeguarding and children's wellbeing
• Holds, or is willing to work towards, a relevant childcare qualification
• Is eligible to register with the SSSC for the role

Previous experience working with school-aged children or within an out of school care setting would be an advantage.
