Childcare Worker

Overview
Join us at Tanglewood Bible Fellowship as a Childcare Worker and become a vital part of nurturing young minds and supporting families. In this role, you will provide attentive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate care to children of various ages, ensuring their safety and development. Keep in mind, we also have volunteer Sunday School teachers who will teach the curriculum. Your position would be to help ensure safety, assist in potty breaks/diaper changes, and clean up the room after. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact while developing your skills in early childhood education and caregiving.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
• Assist with toddler care, infant care, and preschool routines including feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices
• Apply behavior management techniques to foster positive interactions and emotional development
• Collaborate with families and team members to support individual needs and developmental goals
• Maintain a clean, organized environment that meets health and safety standards
• Use first aid skills promptly when necessary and document incidents accurately

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or classroom experience is highly valued
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
• Familiarity with behavior management strategies tailored for different age groups
• Experience caring for infants, toddlers, and children with disabilities or special needs is a plus
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred but not required; training can be provided if needed
• Demonstrated ability to engage children through teaching activities that foster growth and curiosity

Pay: $14.99 - $15.00 per hour
